Hall of Fame Series to Feature UConn vs. BYU in Boston
On November 15, 2025, the Hall of Fame Series will take place at TD Garden in Boston, showcasing a highly anticipated matchup between UConn and BYU. This event, organized by Position Sports in collaboration with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, marks only the second encounter between the two teams, with UConn having won their previous meeting in the 2003 NCAA Tournament.
John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Hall of Fame, expressed excitement about hosting the series in Boston, emphasizing the importance of the matchup featuring UConn, a traditional powerhouse, and BYU, an emerging team with standout player A.J. Dybansta. Glen Thornborough, President of TD Garden, echoed this sentiment, calling the game a perfect fit for the city, especially with local talents on display. This will be UConn's second appearance in the Hall of Fame Series, as they previously faced Gonzaga in New York last December. The event aims to celebrate the rich basketball heritage of the region and bring elite college basketball to fans in Boston.
